Add to Your Bake Life - Mini Cocotte

Ingredients
Chocolate Base

45 g dark chocolate (55%–70%)

30 g butter
-
1 egg (use ½ beaten egg ≈ 25 g)

2 tbsp sugar
-
1 tbsp flour
-
Pinch of salt (optional but enhances chocolate)
Center (Optional)

15–20 g chocolate chunk
Method
1. Melt Chocolate & Butter

In the mini cocotte (stove on low or double boiler), melt until smooth and glossy.

Let cool 1 min.
2. Mix Egg & Sugar

Add sugar → whisk.

Add half a beaten egg (~25 g) → whisk until thick and shiny.
3. Add Dry Ingredients

Fold in flour + salt gently.
4. Assemble

Pour half the batter into the cocotte.

Place a chocolate chunk in the centre.

Cover with remaining batter.
5. Bake
-
Oven: 190°C
-
8–10 min until edges are set, top slightly crinkly, centre wobbly.

Remove at slight dome + jiggle.
6. Serve

Enjoy hot directly from the cocotte!
